Liuko Dashvar (real name — Iryna Ivanivna Chernova)

Liuko Dashvar (born 1957 in Kyiv) is a Ukrainian writer, journalist, and screenwriter. Her real name is Iryna Chernova. She is one of the most widely read contemporary Ukrainian authors.

Her novels, including “The Village Is Not People,” “To Have It All,” “Ray.Center,” and “Initiation,” became bestsellers and gained a broad readership. Dashvar’s writing is known for its sharp social themes, emotional intensity, and psychological depth.
