Leonid Kadenyuk
Leonid Kadenyuk was a Ukrainian test pilot and astronaut, and a Hero of Ukraine.
In 1997 he became the first astronaut of independent Ukraine, flying aboard the American space shuttle Columbia during mission STS-87.
During the mission he conducted scientific experiments and contributed to international space research programs.
