The book *The Adventures of Syrnik* (based on the Disney/Pixar *Cars* universe) is a collection of incredible—and at times downright fantastical—stories told by the funniest resident of Radiator Springs: the tow truck Syrnik.

The plot is built around a series of short fables. Cheesecake tells Lightning McQueen about his “past,” in which he appears each time in a new and unexpected role. Although McQueen doubts the truth of these stories, Cheesecake always finds a way to prove (or at least confuse him even more) that it all really happened.

 

Cheesecake has been just about everyone in his tales:

 

A stuntman performing death-defying stunts.

 

A firefighter who saved the city from fire.

 

A monster truck on huge wheels that won in the ring.

 

A bullfighter who tamed angry tractors in Spain.

 

A doctor, an astronaut, and even a drifter in Tokyo.
