"Of Mice and Men" is a novella by the American writer John Steinbeck, which tells the story of the lives of two migrant workers — George and Lennie, who travel in search of work during the Great Depression. George takes care of Lennie, who is kind-hearted but mentally limited, and together they dream of one day owning their own piece of land and living independently.

However, their dreams are hindered by difficult life circumstances, loneliness, inequality, and human cruelty. Through the fate of the characters, Steinbeck reveals the themes of friendship, hope, compassion, responsibility, and the impossibility of some dreams. The work shows how important support and humanity are in a difficult world.
