Oblivion (2016) is a novel by Tania Maliarchuk exploring the theme of memory and oblivion through the story of Ukrainian folklorist Viacheslav Hnatiuk.

Oblivion tells in parallel the story of Ukrainian folklorist Viacheslav Hnatiuk and a modern woman trying to cope with depression. Both lines are connected by the theme of forgetting.

The novel was an international success, recognized with the prestigious Ingeborg Bachmann Prize (2018). Maliarchuk creates a subtle, intellectual text about the disease of oblivion — personal and collective.
