The Best Works — Hryhorii Skovoroda
The Best Works is a collection of selected works by Hryhorii Skovoroda, the great Ukrainian philosopher and poet of the 18th century.
The Best Works brings together the finest works of Hryhorii Skovoroda (1722–1794), the wandering philosopher, poet, pedagogue, and thinker often called the "Ukrainian Socrates."
The book includes Skovoroda's philosophical treatises, parables, poems, and fables. His teaching on "kindred labor" — a calling that makes a person happy — remains relevant today. The collection offers an introduction to the legacy of one of Eastern Europe's most original thinkers.
