Capital — Serhiy Zhadan

Capital is a collected edition of Serhiy Zhadan's key works, published by Folio in Kharkiv in 2006. The book combines the novels Depeche Mode and Anarchy in the UKR with the poetry cycles Hymn of Democratic Youth and The Quotation Book.

Depeche Mode is an autobiographical novel about the 1990s generation raised on rock music and post-Soviet chaos. Anarchy in the UKR continues the theme of youthful rebellion and the search for freedom. Together, these texts represent the creative evolution of one of Ukraine's leading turn-of-century authors.
