Animal Farm — George Orwell

"Animal Farm" is an allegorical novella by George Orwell in which animals drive out the farmer and create their own farm, hoping for a life without oppression. At first, everyone works for the common good, but gradually the pigs seize power, establishing their own rules and privileges. They use propaganda, deception, and fear to maintain control, while the other animals become just as oppressed as they were under human rule. 

Through the story of the animals, Orwell shows how the desire for unlimited power destroys justice and equality. The work is a sharp satire of totalitarian regimes and serves as a reminder of the importance of freedom, critical thinking, and social responsibility.
