All the Light We Cannot See (2014) is a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Anthony Doerr. The intertwined stories of a blind French girl and a German orphan boy set against the backdrop of World War II.

All the Light We Cannot See is a novel about Marie-Laure, a blind Parisian girl, and Werner, a German orphan with a talent for radio engineering. Their paths converge in besieged Saint-Malo in 1944.

Doerr created a sweeping portrait of war that is less about battles than about invisible connections between people. The novel won the Pulitzer Prize (2015) and was adapted by Netflix. It is one of the most widely read works about World War II in the 21st century.
