Secrets of the Environment, or The Secrets of Familiar Things — A. I. Shapiro

The main character is a girl named Alya, who has a very bad habit: she never finishes anything she starts. She didn’t finish braiding her hair, didn’t finish drawing her little man, didn’t finish eating her carpaccio, and didn’t finish drinking her tea. All in all, she had exactly one hundred unfinished tasks.

Because of this, Alya magically finds herself in the strange land of Nedoladia.

The Land of Unfinished: This is where all unfinished tasks and laziness end up. Here, everything is askew, the houses have no roofs, and the inhabitants have physical “imperfections” (for example, her deputy and friend, Nedoladko, is missing one ear, and the ruler of the country, Nedocherevik, has no soul).

The Way Home: To return home to her parents, Ali has to change completely. She realizes that the only way to escape and help her new friends is to start finishing everything she sets out to do. The girl finishes drawing what she left unfinished, repairs what’s broken, and learns responsibility.
