Wild is a novella by Hryhorii Tiutiunnyk (1931–1980), one of the finest Ukrainian prose writers of the second half of the 20th century. The story of a boy living on the border of wild nature and civilization becomes a parable of innocence and its loss.

Tiutiunnyk is a master of detailed, sensory prose. His nature breathes, his characters suffer and rejoice with an authenticity rarely found in literature. Wild is considered one of the best works of 20th-century Ukrainian prose.
