The Spirit of Our Antiquity — Dmytro Dontsov

The Spirit of Our Antiquity is a work by Ukrainian publicist and philosopher Dmytro Dontsov, first published in 1944 and reissued in Drohobych by Vidrodzhennia Publishers in 1991. The work presents a large-scale analysis of the spiritual traditions of the Ukrainian nation.

Dontsov turns to the history of Ukrainian thought, literature, and culture, constructing a concept of national identity. The book remains one of the most discussed works in the Ukrainian intellectual tradition of the twentieth century.
