Danylo of Halych — Tetiana Orlyk
Danylo of Halych is a historical work by Tetiana Orlyk about King Danylo of Halych, ruler of the Galicia-Volhynia principality and one of the greatest Ukrainian statesmen of the Middle Ages.
Danylo of Halych by Tetiana Orlyk is dedicated to King Danylo Romanovych (1201–1264), founder of the city of Lviv and the first crowned King of Rus'. Danylo united the Galician and Volhynian principalities and fought against the Mongol invasion.
Orlyk recreates the 13th century through the fate of a ruler who combined diplomatic talent with military valor. A book for those interested in Ukrainian medieval history and statehood.
