Fables is a collection of parables and fables by Hryhorii Skovoroda, in which the philosopher conveys his ideas about virtue, happiness, and self-knowledge through allegories.
Fables is a collection of fables by Hryhorii Skovoroda (1722–1794), one of Ukraine's greatest thinkers. His fables are not simply morality tales but philosophical miniatures revealing deep ideas about human nature through images of animals and plants.
Skovoroda's central idea is that every person must find their "kindred labor" — work that corresponds to their nature. The fables are written in clear, vivid language and remain relevant centuries later.
